SAFE MERCURY AMALGAM REMOVAL 

At Restoration Dentistry, we subscribe to the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART) as recommended by the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT).

We are close to certification (all the education has been completed). The SMART protocol will be implemented at Restoration Dentistry, with or without certification.

It is important to keep in mind that there is no “safe” way to remove these fillings. Even with this strict protocol, it only offers a SAFER way to remove mercury fillings. The procedure will still be taxing on the body. We recognize this and will walk through the process with you to take the necessary custom-tailored precautions to minimize the burden on your body.
