RESTORATION DENTISTRY

INTEGRATIVE AND BIOLOGICAL ORAL CARE

Reshape your health by tending to the oral contributions that will support a healthier you.

Smiling older woman

to think that “40 is the new 30,” “50 is the new 40,” and so on.  Social media is a popular museum with a full collection of these suggestions.  But look at the real people in the community around you: the people you pass in the grocery store, the people you work with, your neighbors, your loved ones—the people who really matter to you.  What do you see?  Very few people I know seem healthier than their chronological age; and they are exceptional.  I believe we have become all too accustomed to accepting that it is a sad but “normal” truth for people in their 40s to suffer from diseases that used to afflict those in their 60s, 70s, and 80s.

IT IS FUN

WHAT HAPPENED?

The human body is in many ways a microcosm of what we see around us in the world. Modern living has provided many benefits, but has also introduced them at a cost. Just as the inattention to responsible farming practices has led to stripping our land’s soil of nutrients, our lack of care in what we consume—from foods to microplastics to entertainment—is leading to a population of humans who are showing greater and greater signs of being stripped of vitality.

And in the same way that the sourcing of a lot of our water often comes from reservoirs devoid of the biological diversity needed by our bodies, a lot of our diets also consist of foods that are highly processed and devoid of the biological diversity of microbes, nutrients, and minerals necessary to balance this amazing marvel that we call our bodies–our selves.

WHAT IS THE RESULT?

Underdeveloped facial structures, crowded teeth, obstructed airways, chronic inflammation, autoimmune diseases, gut and malabsorption issues, uncontrolled weight, poor sleep, anxiety, depression. It can feel overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Some things are genetic, but many things are environmental. Which means you can do something about it. The key is to learn about the causes of your issues and to investigate the remedies. Each person is marvelously different so each journey will be unique. Where do you go from here?

TAKE A STEP

toward optimal health by supporting the oral contributors that lead to a healthier you.

Tooth decay, broken teeth, flattened teeth from clenching or grinding, TMJ pain, periodontal disease, mercury fillings, mouth breathing, snoring, bad breath. These are all warning signs of issues that may be keeping you from experiencing better overall wellness.

IS THERE A SOLUTION?

There can be restoration to better health from these issues.  A healthy oral environment–microbiota, form, function–is an important contributor to good health.

There are many excellent technicians of the mouth. BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO ORAL CARE than just the mechanics…

…TAKE A STEP TOWARD DENTAL CARE THAT RECOGNIZES AND SUPPORTS THE MOUTH-BODY CONNECTION.
